Are you called to reach the unreached peoples of the world? Do you have a desire to move away from your familiar culture to share your faith with people in countries that have never heard the Gospel? Do you want to be a part of the movement to reach people of different faiths (Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists) that have now settled in cities in North America? Come join us as we train others to take the message of Jesus to those who don't know Him!

Why Houston? Because of its diversity. As of May 2009, Houston is home to more than 315 people groups. The Houston population speaks at least 215 different languages and hails from at least 140 different countries around the world. This city has the highest population of Nigerians in the USA. Currently there are about 600 Nepali refugees (from Bhutan); but that number is expected to grow by 5000 in the next two years. According to statistics, over 120,000 Hindus live here. Most of those who are coming to Houston are from the 10/40 window, meaning they have never had a chance to hear the name of Jesus. With close to 100 mosques and over 35 Hindu temples, the Houston metro area has become it's own 10/40 window with Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist and Chinese all living within its borders. It has become a fantastic training ground for people looking to go abroad to the 10/40 window. Our primary goal is to train those who are wanting to go overseas, but we also desire to train those who would stay in the USA reaching out to the nations among us (immigrants, refugees, international students).

Having internationals from all of these nations in its own backyard has allowed the North American Church to add new strategies for reaching them. We are now able to give future overseas workers the chance to experience new cultures and languages without the need for a passport. We can also reach previously unreachable people groups with the Gospel as we assist them in learning our langauge and culture. What an amazing gift from God!
