Global Frontier Missions Apprenticeship Covenant

By the grace of God,

I commit to upholding my seven month commitment as an apprentice with GFM.

I commit to putting other people’s needs before my own and maintain a servant attitude throughout the program.

I commit to meet the ministry, spiritual, community, outreach, and other expectations set forth in the apprenticeship manual. I will put in all of the required ministry hours, show up for required meetings, fellowship during meals/parties, reach out to students, fill out all required evaluations, and pour into the next generation of missionary training school students.

I commit to uphold and enforce all GFM base policies and rules. I will set a good example in word, deed, and attitude for the students and short-termers that come through our programs. I will respect the leadership and authority structure at GFM and do all that I can to promote unity at the base. I will be hospitable to those visiting the ministry.

I commit to being involved in ministry with local people and to stay focused on the ultimate goal of reaching the least reached with the love of Christ. I will promote unity in the body of Christ and attempt to make local Christian and non-Christian friends in the community.

By the grace of God,

GFM commits to help apprentices by establishing accessible goals, enforcing accountability, and providing encouragement.

GFM commits to disciple and mentor apprentices as they get involved in ministry. We are dedicated to seeing all apprentices become effective ministers of the Gospel and will do all we can to help them develop their gifts, grow in their callings, and become fruitful in ministry. We will invest time, energy, resources, and prayer to see apprentices reach all of their potential and dreams.

GFM commits to help apprentices on a personal and spiritual level. We commit to see them grow in relationship with Christ and stay healthy on the mission field. We will do everything possible to ensure they keep well physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We believe that taking the Gospel to all nations is the greatest calling in the world, but we are also dedicated to making disciples of them personally. We commit to help apprentices have a good balance of ministry, family, and personal time and not let the task of missions become more important than love for God and others.

GFM commits to lead by example and give apprentices a reproducible model to follow. We will be servant leaders, not lording over people, willing to learn, and open to suggestions. Our desire is to say as Paul did, “follow us as we follow Christ.”
