Director of Multiplication - Thailand

The purpose of the Director of Multiplication is to provide leadership and direction over disciple making teams as they apply healthy church planting movement principles in the community. They are responsible for representing the DMT (Disciple Making Team) at leadership meetings. They will also keep the DMT accountable to their role in GFM’s hedgehog by making sure that MTS students and apprentices are developing the “hands’ competencies” needed to thrive on the field. The DMT leader will be the “face” of GFM with regards to our church planting efforts in the community and will also be the main connection point for other people in the area doing disciple making. This ministry role is full-time and support-raising is required. The Director of Multiplication has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis. The role is based out of Bangkok, Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the local leadership team giving strategic direction specifically as it relates to disciple making and church planting among unreached people groups in the local community 
  • Be the liaison connecting the DMT to mobilization and training efforts
  • Give spiritual direction to the DMT ensuring GFM staff stays Christ-centered by organizing corporate prayer and worship times for the DMT
  • Give strategic direction to the DMT providing vision for the multiplication of disciples and churches in our local context always pushing the team towards movement
  • Organize and implement meetings for celebration, strategy, accountability,  fellowship
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the DMT ministry in the community bringing clarity, focus, and alignment to help leaders/teams meet their goals
  • Act as the primary liaison between GFM and the NoPlaceLeft network, local outreach ministries, like-minded local churches, and ethnic pastors
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and support for the various team leaders/members of the DMT helping connect them to the resources they need to achieve their goals
  • Organize GFM events including gospel conversations and disciple making trainings
  • Ensure that missionary training students are growing in their cross-cultural competency as we equip them to serve overseas

Required Qualifications

  • Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values. and statement of faith
  • Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a high view of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17; Col 3:16-17)
  • Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others (Eph 4:15)
  • Must display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking (Heb 10:24-25)
  • Must function well both independently and in a team environment (1 Cor 12:25-26)
  • Must be able use or learn internal communications and technology systems (Email, Google Drive, Slack, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Must be ready to experience significant missions training and discipleship through GFM’s Missionary Training School (in person sessions or online)
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of overseas cross-cultural experience including significant experience in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting

Recommended Experience

  • A College Degree is preferred but not required; informal trainings in management, organization, leadership, and or ministry are also acceptable
