Want to become a missionary with Global Frontier Missions? We are growing at a fast rate, so we are asking God to send us more laborers as we need staff members to help out in our mobilization, training, and multiplication departments. Check out the overview video of our organization and then look at the positions we are seeking to fill down below! We could especially use veteran, retired, or returning missionaries that already have cross-cultural experience.
Like most missions organizations, ALL of our staff and missionaries are faith-based meaning that they raise all of their own financial support from individuals, churches, and businesses in order to serve. We do not have any salaried positions as everyone in the entire organization is considered self-employed and raises missionary support. Don’t let that stop you, though! Many of our staff have left good paying jobs, have taken up their cross, left father/mother/brother/sister/land to serve sacrificially, live by faith, and trust that the Lord will provide and He has been faithful! We have had people right out of school all the way through empty nesters take this leap of faith to come and serve with us and we would love for you to join the team!
The first step in becoming a missionary with Global Frontier Missions is to go through our missionary training school or our online missionary training school. This may seem like a big hoop to jump through for some, especially if they are older or already have a bit of life, ministry, or missions experience. However, we have found that having everyone in the organization go through the same training is beneficial to the long-term work. It builds an awesome community and culture that helps maximize health on the mission field and strong team dynamics. The missionary training school is almost like a job interview, screening program, orientation to your new position, and on-the-job training all wrapped into one. It is a chance for US to watch you serve in a team environment and help find your sweet spot in ministry as well as and a chance for YOU to get to know our staff, our values, our vision, and our ministry philosophy. After completion of the missionary training program, if we both feel good about the relationship, you will then be extended an invitation to join Global Frontier Missions staff or we can point you in the direction of one of our many partner organizations.
We have many GFM staff opportunities at our locations in Atlanta, Houston, Richmond, Australia, and South Asia. We would love for you to become a missionary with us by joining our team. This ministry is growing very quickly as we expand into new cities and we have several urgent staff needs listed below:
[+] Mobilization Team
[+] Local Short-Term Mission Coordinators – We are looking for some people with leadership, teaching, networking, and administrative abilities to be in charge of all of our local short-term mission trips. We have an immediate, urgent need for short-term mission coordinators for our bases in Richmond and Houston. Short Term Mission Coordinators are in charge of promoting, organizing, doing the administrative work, and figuring out the logistics to host our short-term mission trips and summer internships which focus on doing work projects, ESL classes, backyard Bible clubs, and relationship evangelism among immigrants, refugees, and international students. We host over 700 people each year for day-long or weekend missions trips and need a lot more help if you are passionate about short-term missions.
[+] International Partnership Development – We are looking for some people with leadership, teaching, networking, and administrative abilities to be in charge of helping us organize short-term mission trips and internships with partner missionaries and organizations all around the world. We want to develop strong partnerships with GFM missionaries that are serving overseas and like-minded indigenous laborers and churches with whom we can serve hand in hand. This position would potentially include leading short-term mission trips into the 10/40 window several times per year to continue developing those relationships.
[+] US Partnership Development – We are looking for someone that enjoys networking to help us continue partnering with like-minded organizations in North America. We already have several partner organizations that send people to GFM to get training before they head overseas. We are not a missions sending agency, so we need someone to be in charge of helping us develop relationships with these and other organizations where we can send people to serve overseas long-term as we mobilize and train more laborers.
[+] Website and Social Media Department – We need some full-time staff members to focus on keeping our website and social media updated with fresh content and taking care of maintenance issues. Our website staff is also very involved with branding, marketing, advertising, developing our web presence, e-commerce, social media, and search engine optimization.
[+] Creative and Graphic Design – We are trying to develop a creative/graphic design team that will help produce visual assets such as prayer cards, quote cards (like the one pictured above), brochures, infographics, and other promotional and teaching materials. We are also looking for people that have gifts for shooting and editing photography and videos.
[+] Mobilizers – We are looking for some people that have a heart for helping lead missions conferences in churches and speaking on college campuses. Mobilizers also do things like speak at Perspectives classes, start Xplore studies, lead Kairos classes, etc. Our mobilizers also do recruiting, set up booths at colleges and conferences, life/career coaching, and follow up on potential missionary candidates.
[+] Training Team
[+] Missionary Training School Leaders – We are looking for some leaders that have a bit of life and ministry experience in teaching, discipleship, and cross-cultural ministry. We are currently looking for a missionary training leader for our Atlanta, Houston, and Sydney, Australia location and also want people with a pioneering spirit to start new locations. These people need to have a heart for unreached people groups, a bit of cross-cultural experience, and a strong call to equip and train people for cross-cultural service among those that have never heard. MTS leaders cover the classroom in the morning and oversee outreach in the local community in the afternoons while doing life-on-life discipleship and mentoring with students.
[+] Pastoral Care / Member Care – We need some part and/or full-time staff members that would focus on keeping our staff and students healthy emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. We could really use some older, wiser, adults with a bit of life and ministry experience. We need people with shepherding and counseling gifts that really want to pour into young couples, families, and 20-somethings that are ready to go out and serve cross-culturally. Our pastoral care staff will do member care through one-on-one discipleship, small groups, formal counseling when necessary, Biblical peacemaking, etc. We are looking for a seasoned veteran missionary couple to serve at each of our locations in a pastoral capacity.
[+] Online Missionary Training School Coordinator – We need some people that are passionate about online education to continue developing our online missionary training school. People that have an understanding of the moodle learning management system would be helpful. Tasks would include course development, communicating with students, some paper grading, coaching/discipleship, developing new courses, etc.
[+] Multiplication Team
[+] Disciple Makers / Church Planters – We need some part and/or full-time staff members that would be focused on making disciples and planting churches among the different ethnic groups that we are trying to reach. This includes a lot of relationship evangelism, discipling new believers, and training indigenous leaders. If you have apostolic giftings to pioneer new works among unreached people groups, we would love to have you.
