Third Culture Kid (TCK) Coordinator

The role is based out of Atlanta, GA.

The purpose of the Third Culture Kid (TCK) Coordinator is to provide proactive and preventative care for our CCKs and their parents. The TCK Coordinator will also provide tools and resources to families with children so they can care well for their own future TCKs. This ministry role is full-time and support-raising is required. The TCK Coordinator has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis. The role is based out of Atlanta, Georgia.


Required Qualifications


  • Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values and statement of faith and identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
  • Must have extensive training in TCK preventive care
  • Must have at least one year of overseas experience
  • Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others
  • Must display advanced interpersonal and communication skills (Gmail, Slack, etc.)
  • Must function well both independently and in a team environment
  • Must have high shepherding skills and capacity to show empathy through active listening
  • Must have a good understanding of issues that families and TCKs face on the field
  • Must be available for the first month of MTS semesters, last two weeks of MTS semesters, planning and during retreats
  • Strongly suggest being available for Missionary Resiliency & Care Week and Marriage & Singleness week

Key Responsibilities


  • Counsel and support the spiritual, emotional, and mental needs of the Support Hub, Global Leadership Team, HUB 1 & 2 TCKs and parents
  • Research and collect current resources regarding TCK care
  • Help collect and develop resources that will help the TCK Care staff at each GFM location
  • Develop and implement, or align programs and initiatives with GFM’s strategic direction to develop long term, healthy disciple makers
