Global Missions Journey

A Global Missions Journey is a three night (Wednesday-Friday) short-term mission trip designed for exposure and training. These trips cost $350 per person and include eight meals, housing and local transportation. On a GMJ you will have the opportunity to:

  • Eat at ethnic restaurants, shop at local markets, and visit Mosques or Hindu/Buddhist Temples to learn about other faiths
  • Prayer walk in local multi-ethnic communities
  • Interact with internationals to build bridges of understanding for future ministry
  • Hear about God’s heart for the nations and strategies to reach them
  • Explore what programs and opportunities GFM offers to equip you to answer God’s call to welcome, send, mobilize, pray, and GO!

A Global Missions Journey is perfect for...

  • Missions pastors looking for ideas of how to engage their church with missions
  • Small groups wanting to learn about missions together
  • People who are trying to discern their next step in missions
  • People who want to learn more about diaspora missions and reaching internationals in their own context
  • People who want to be equipped to mobilize others to missions
  • Groups of college students who would like to have a cross cultural experience
  • Anyone who wants to learn more about God’s heart and the purpose of missions
  • Training teams that will be going on other short term trips overseas

We strongly believe that gospel workers are most effective when they are well equipped for kingdom work. Therefore, we have seasoned missionaries and gifted speakers to train your group in topics including cultural sensitivity, cross cultural servanthood, the biblical basis of missionsstate of the world, evangelism and discipleship.

Our training, coupled with a cross-cultural experience, is a powerful combination that often generates long-term change in the lives of short-term participants, as well as their local church. We challenge all participants to pray, give, go, welcomemobilize, and make disciples as a Great Commission lifestyle rather than viewing these short-term mission trips as an experience to check off the list.
