Train and Go Apprenticeship

Global Frontier Missions (GFM) has partnered with a few of our Global Partners to offer a year-long apprenticeship program.

The “train and go” apprenticeship includes GFM’s five-month Missionary Training School in Atlanta, GA followed by seven months serving on the mission field in the 10/40 window with one of the organizations listed below.

In Atlanta, during the “train” phase of the apprenticeship, you will receive classroom instruction, life-on-life discipleship with long-term missionaries, and hands-on cross-cultural missions experience serving among refugees. You will live incarnationally in a very diverse community where there are ministry opportunities daily to apply what you are learning in the classroom. There may be opportunities to get involved with ESL, children’s or youth ministry, evangelism, discipleship, community gardening, and many other types of ministries that may fit your gifts and passions.

The “train” phase will be followed by a seven month “go” phase on the mission field. This will include learning language and culture, being mentored by veteran missionaries, and helping see God glorified among the nations. There may be opportunities for teaching English, relationship evangelism, and mercy ministry. The “go” phase of the apprenticeship is a great way to experience life overseas and begin learning from those who have been doing long-term missionaries that are excited about pouring into the next generation of laborers.

This “train and go” apprenticeship is a wonderful opportunity to invest in yourself by getting equipped for cross-cultural service and invest in God’s Kingdom by serving refugees locally and unreached people groups globally!
