South Asia

South Asia is the most diverse region in the world,

containing almost half of all unreached people groups.

South Asia has the largest Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim populations in the world and is also home to Buddhists, Jains, and tribal groups. The region includes one fifth of the world’s population and 40% of the world’s poorest people.

Over 1.6 billion people in South Asia live in 2,289 unreached people groups, which is almost half of the world’s remaining UPGs. They still wait to hear the Gospel for the first time!

The time is now. Today is the day of salvation! Join us as we share Jesus' love with those who are yet to hear of Him!

God continues to call His people to serve in South Asia. Unfortunately, most workers come and go too quickly, overwhelmed and bewildered by the challenges of life and ministry. For this reason, Global Frontier Missions has developed an “on site” training base to equip and assist missionaries arriving in the region.

Our SLICE program is carefully designed to mentor people as they adjust to effective ministry among the unreached in this area. We focus on Strategy, Language, Identity, Culture, and Exalting Jesus, all essential elements of thriving in South Asia.

It is not necessary to be a part of GFM to be a SLICE program participant. The GFM South Asia team gladly prepares and trains missionaries from many organizations, that God may be glorified in South Asia!

Learn More About SLICE

Our heart's desire is to share God's truth where "He has not yet been named," that “to whom He was not announced, they shall see; and those who have not heard shall understand” (Rom. 15:20Is. 52:15). GFM South Asia staff and SLICE students are involved in Multiplication (evangelism, discipleship, and church planting) through personal relationships and redemptive businesses. As God enlarges and establishes our community in this incredible place, there are endless opportunities to develop deep and meaningful relationships with the people of South Asia.

We are currently looking for passionate people not only to be trained, but also, to join GFM South Asia staff. We seek people with a strong calling to work among the least reached and with a sharp focus on training and encouraging missionaries arriving to serve in South Asia. As more workers join us, we hope to send teams to new cities. In addition, we desire to increase our involvement in mobilizing national believers. Our goal is to network with national and international churches, Bible schools, and other organizations, encouraging and equipping South Asian believers to more effectively reach the billions of lost people living around them.
