Bangkok

Thailand

Did you realize that there are 500 million Buddhists in the world and only 2000 total missionaries working among them? That is one laborer for every 260,000 Buddhists! The harvest is indeed plentiful and the laborers few…

In Thailand alone, there are 113 total people groups with 77 of them considered unreached with the gospel. There are 69 million people living throughout the country and only 0.65% of them are evangelical Christian. However, the fields are ripe and missionaries in the country are saying that God is about to do something huge in Thailand and that people are more open to the gospel than ever!

Global Frontier Missions has trained up and sent out many laborers to Thailand over the years, but now feels led to start planning the launch of a new GFM Southeast Asia hub in Bangkok due to its strategic importance in the 10/40 window and throughout Asia.

The team there will be focused on mobilizing through short-term missions experiences, training by starting a SLICE program in Bangkok, and multiplying by making disciples of locals who will in turn disciple others and see churches planting churches.

If you would be interested in helping GFM launch a long-term Thailand team or would like to join us on a scouting trip or short-term mission trip, please contact us for more information.
